During the ASUU-UNN congress held in Nsukka, Enugu State, on Friday, January 26, 2024, Prof. Sule-Kano Abdullahi, a member of the ASUU Board of Trustees and Chairman, National Visitation Panel, presented cheques worth N200,000 each to the deserving students.
Abdullahi highlighted the purpose of the scholarship, emphasizing ASUU’s commitment to supporting financially challenged students across Nigerian universities.
He mentioned that ASUU initiated the annual scholarship scheme in 2018, assisting two indigent students from each branch of the union.
The recipients of the UNN-ASUU scholarship scheme 2023, Ugwu Maryjane and Ugwu Promise were selected after a thorough screening process conducted by the ASUU-UNN branch.
Abdullahi encouraged them to utilize the scholarship funds wisely to enhance their educational pursuits.
