The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) graciously approved free registration for persons with disabilities in the 2024/2025 UTME.

Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWD) aiming to take the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now register at no cost.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, revealed this significant development during the launch of the registration process for interested candidates nationwide.

One notable advancement is the provision of audiobooks for blind candidates, representing a digital adaptation of traditional reading materials.

These audiobooks will be accessible in popular formats such as MP3, WMV, and WMA, compatible with various devices capable of streaming audio records.

Oloyede highlighted that the idea for providing audiobooks emerged from the first National Conference on Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.

In his announcement, Oloyede assured that the registration process would be smooth for all candidates, and these measures aim to create a more accessible and supportive environment for those with disabilities.
