Speaking at the 2023 Bauchi Education Summit, Dr. Sununu described the situation as unacceptable and called for urgent collaborative efforts to address the alarming trend.
He commended the newly established National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children, emphasizing its role in integrating Tsangaya/Madarasa schools into basic education.
Governor Bala Mohammed highlighted the state’s commitment to quality education, with a significant increase in the budgetary allocation to education for 2023.
