The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed the petition filed by APC and Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani challenging the election of Governor Umar Ahmadu Fintiri in Adamawa State.
The court affirmed the decision of the state’s Election Petition Tribunal, declaring Governor Fintiri of the PDP as the lawful winner.
The judgment highlighted irregularities in Binani and APC’s case, including the failure to present valid witnesses and the incompetence of their filed brief.
The court declared the declaration of Binani and APC as winners illegal and ordered them to pay a N1 million cost to Fintiri and the PDP.
